Mental Health Programs in Fair Lawn, NJ
Nova Mental Health offers four levels of outpatient care for adults in Fair Lawn, NJ: Adult Partial Care (five days a week, five to six hours a day), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), an Evening IOP for people who work or study during the day, and an Outpatient Program for ongoing support.
Nova Mental Health offers several levels of care so treatment can fit around your life. Partial Care runs five days a week, 5 to 6 hours a day. Intensive Outpatient is three hours a day, with sessions running throughout the day and an evening option for people who work or study. Our programs are tailored to help individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, or other mental health challenges.
Outpatient Program (OP)
For individuals experiencing mild or moderate mental health symptoms, our Outpatient Program provides flexible, ongoing support without disrupting your daily life. Through individual therapy, group sessions, wellness workshops, and optional medication‑management, this level of care offers a steady foundation for improving emotional health while maintaining work, school, or family obligations. Ideal for those looking for regular care and support in a manageable, sustainable format.
Intensive Outpatient
Program (IOP)
When you need more support than standard weekly therapy, our IOP offers a balanced, structured treatment plan — more intensive than outpatient care, yet still allowing you to live at home. The IOP is designed for those dealing with moderate to severe symptoms and in need of consistent therapeutic support, skill-building, and peer community. It’s a great option for individuals transitioning from higher‑intensity care or beginning a focused mental health treatment journey while staying connected to their everyday life.
Evening IOP
Mental health treatment shouldn’t force you to pause your life. At Nova Mental Health, our Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for people who need consistent clinical support while still managing full schedules during the day. This program serves individuals dealing with emotional distress, trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, depression, and mood instability who need more structure than traditional weekly therapy can provide. Instead of stepping away from responsibilities, clients attend treatment after work hours, building stability without disrupting their routine.
Partial Care Program
Our Partial Care Program provides a comprehensive, daytime‑based treatment option for individuals whose mental health needs require more frequent attention, perhaps due to mood instability, trauma-related symptoms, or acute emotional distress, but who do not need overnight hospitalization. With a full schedule of group therapy, individual sessions, therapeutic workshops, and clinical oversight during the day, clients receive intensive support while returning home each evening. This program bridges the gap between inpatient care and outpatient therapy, offering a path toward stabilization, healing, and reintegration.
What Partial Care involves
Partial Care at Nova is daytime treatment for adults whose symptoms need more support than weekly therapy can give, but who do not need 24-hour residential care. Clients attend programming during the day and return home in the evening, so they keep their connections to family, work or school.
